YES Program is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for the growth and education of individuals while working with other individuals partners. Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program is thus designed to empower the youth of different communities towards innovation, cultural thinking, learning, sharing, and growth.

The fully-funded exchange program in the USA aims to promote global education partnership and capacity building of the individuals by using modern techniques. The purpose behind this best exchange program for youth in the USA is to support talented individuals in developing and implementing multiple innovative programs for a better future.

The YES Program 2022-23 is a chance for the communities, school, educators, and young students from a wide geographic range of Pakistan which includes remote and underprivileged areas to enhance their educational and practical experience. The students learn different cultures, ethics, and ways of life while staying for whole one year in the United States. Moreover, the youth exchange program provides an opportunity for the students to live with an American foster family. This helps the young students in confidence-building and decision making which is the need for being future leaders.

Over the years, the Kennedy-Lugar exchange program has produced more than 1200 alumni who have learned to respect cultural diversity and have become a bridge of friendship between the USA and Pakistan. Furthermore, the YES scholarship program organization doesn’t discriminate on the basis of color, race, religion, or sex. In order to provide the students a sense of independence and co-existence, the fully-funded scholarship program also provides equal opportunities to practice their religion freely. In addition, there is also no compulsion about wearing headscarves, etc. YES Program is only to promote friendship and good relations through education and cultural exchange.

As this one-year exchange program in the USA for young individuals, there are some special policy restrictions as well as age restrictions. US Exchange Program Duration:

  • One year.

Eligibility Criteria of the YES Program 2022-23 in the USA:

  • The student must be a Pakistani citizen and must be residing in Pakistan as well.
  • The student must be enrolled in secondary school i.e 9th or 10th grade or O’level 9th grade or O’level 10th grade.
  • The students who are in O’level 11th grade are not eligible.
  • The student must not be less than 15 years of age and more than 17 years of age.
  • The student must have a minimum of 60% marks in all major subjects in past three years.
  • The average marks percentage must also be 60% for the last three years.
  • The student must be able to communicate in English.
  • The student must be having 60% marks in English subjects over the past three years.
  • The student who has already traveled to the USA can not apply.

How to Apply for the YES Program 2022-23 in the USA?

  • In order to fill YES Program 2022-23 application, click on the apply button given on the official website.
  • The students will apply online.
  • The students must have a Parent/Student Agreement that must show the consent of the parents regarding sending their child to the USA in YES 2022-23.
  • Students have to fill the preliminary applications by uploading all the required documents.
  • Make sure to write the correct email address as the students will be contacted for an interview if they get shortlisted.
  • The student must provide a record of all required immunization or special immunization while applying for the YES USA scholarship.
  • The students have to come to an agreement that they will maintain a B-grade average in American High School.
