This year’s Global Solutions Summit will be digital. The crisis caused by the Coronavirus-pandemic is terribly affecting people and societies and is challenging our concept of how we live and work. At the same time, COVID-19 proves that we are one world, one people and that we can only overcome this crisis in a spirit of solidarity, international cooperation, and global thinking. Unilateral attempts to overcome the pandemic will fail, since the virus knows no borders and is stronger than any me-first-strategy.
Global Solutions are grateful that so many of their network agreed to work innovatively together with the Global Solutions Initiative to make sure that all the important ideas, concepts and discussion contributions for the G20 and all other implementers in politics, civil society and business remain, even though we are all affected by the challenges of the Corona-pandemic.
They are optimistic that the digital format of the Global Solutions Summit will further strengthen their network because they can welcome more participants, more Young Global Changers and more partner institutions and there are no time limits on their exchanges. They are determined to adopt the best practice and experience from this digital enterprise in 2020 to prepare and enhance the physical Global Solutions Summits in the coming years.
On this platform, you will find keynotes, panel-discussions organized by the Global Solutions Initiative team as well as those from partner institutions. You will be informed about how to contribute, about roadmaps and upcoming events. Everybody who is registered is able to contribute, to comment and to ask questions.
As always, the purpose of the work is to support multilateralism and the G20 from civil society and a research-based perspective. The Global Solutions Initiative depends on your support to achieve our shared goal of making the world a better place.
